Curtains and drapes are a traditional dressing option for a window and help to finish a room and tie your décor together. Available with a range of handmade header finishes, I can help you to decide on what would look best to create your desired finished look. Finish with a dramatic pole to complement other room furnishings or a functional and stylish Metropole for a bay window.

Many hand finished pleat types are available – from the neat, minimalist single pleat to the dramatic triple pleat, we can work together to find the perfect finish.  For bedrooms, I advise blackout lining to ensure a great night’s sleep and to ensure total relaxation. For living spaces, a more dressed drape can add drama and soften existing window coverings such as blinds and shutters.

Roman blinds

A more modern look for a window is the use of roman blinds. These work particularly well in a bay window for a sleek finish. Featuring a neat stack of pleats when open and a crisp block of fabric when closed, roman blinds have a range of metal chains available to work with existing room furniture. Hand finishes such as mitred grosgrain ribbon can be applied to a plain fabric to add a wow factor. For peace of mind, all blinds are fitted with child safety cleats at no extra cost to make them the perfect solution in a child’s bedroom.

Roller Blinds

A classic solution, roller blinds are available in a range of designs and finishes. If you are feeling overlooked, a sheer roller can give the privacy you need without loss of light in your room. Blackout options are available in a range of colours to complement your décor. All of the roller blinds can be manually operated or can be automated with hardwiring or battery options. Valances are available to give a sleek finish to the top edge of the blind.

Venetians and Plantation shutters

Plantation shutters and venetian blinds work well with the Victorian and Georgian bay windows found in much of the local housing stock. Taped venetians, with matching pulls and pelmets will be professionally fitted to your precise specifications. I am delighted to be working in conjunction with Woodthorpe Joinery (insert logo link to website – and can attest to their professionalism and service.

And everything else!

The range of blinds available doesn’t end here. I have many other options available to dress your windows.  Pleated blinds come in many colour options and can be both fitted externally and directly into the glass beading of difficult windows and bifold doors. Vertical blinds add security and style to large windows and office spaces. Panel blinds are an exciting new option for large windows and stack beautifully to allow access to gardens and terraces. If sunlight is a problem, there are many light reflective and reducing options available to you. Please contact me for a consultation.
